Stagg and Homer have returned to their hometown of Kinder to provide medical services to the community.
October 11, 2011 -- Allen Parish Hospital has taken a fast approach in the recruitment of hometown people in many technical and medical fields and will continue to search out those medical professionals that want to return to their community to apply their skills.
Charla Stagg, Nurse Practitioner-Pediatrics, and Dana Homer, Family Nurse Practitioner, joined the Medical Staff in August. Charla Stagg is seeing patients in the Kinder Clinic and Dana Homer is working with Dr. Nazim in the Oberlin Clinic.
Stagg is a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and native of Kinder with over seven years of experience. She completed her under-graduate degree in nursing at Louisiana College in 2000 and completed her master's degree at Texas Women's University in Dallas in 2004. Since then she has worked at numerous clinics in Texas. For the past two years, Ms. Stagg worked as the sole medical provider at a private practice in Houston, Texas. At Allen Parish Hospital, Ms. Stagg is working in the Pediatric Clinic which is part of the APH Rural Health Clinic. The Pediatric Clinic serves children from birth through high school.
Dana Fontenot Homer completed her undergraduate work at Grossmont College in El Cajoin, California and worked 12 years as a Respiratory Therapist before completing her degree in nursing from LSU-Eunice in 2005. She completed her master’s degree at Graceland University in Independence, Missouri, and is now a Family Nurse Practitioner in the APH Oberlin Clinic.
