Community Health Fair

Allen Parish Hospital hosted the Community Health Fair October 26, 2011, at the Kinder Community Center from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.  APH employees Felicia Deshotels, Candy Istre, Marsha Billadeaux, and Misty Aucoin are shown in the picture at the left ready to help Community Health Fair visitors.  In the second picture, Joanie Norris and Dana Homer from the APH Medical Clinic in Oberlin are shown prepared to assist visitors with questions about health.  Lynn Christopher and Lillie Hargrave of the APH Respiratory Department and Joanne Mahaffey of the APH Home Health Department are pictured in the third picture working in the Repiratory Department booth.  Shelley Sattler of Allen Parish Therapy Services is shown on the right geared up to answer visitor's questions about physical and occupational therapy available at APH.

Flu shots were available for $15.  Cash, Medicare, or insurance was accepted for payment of the flu shots.  Other hospital services, such as blood pressure screenings and blood sugar testing, was available.  Vendors had booths set up at the health fair to provide information or answer questions.

A Children's Costume Contest was held at 5 p.m.  Even the Ninjas showed up at the Community Health Fair.
