ALLEN PARISH HOSPITAL’S SECOND ANNUAL COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIR A SUCCESS
Allen Parish Hospital would like to extend a sincere “Thank You” to the community for making its Second Annual Health Fair a true success. The number of individuals participating in the event was astonishing. This year, approximately 150 free flu shots were given to those attending the health fair and over 50 cholesterol tests were administered. The hospital would also like to say “Thank You” to all of the vendors that participated in the event. Those vendors in attendance included: Allen Parish Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana Senior Rx, AARP, Dr. Barney Harper’s Office, Louisiana Children’s Health Insurance Program (LaCHIP), and the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospital’s Office of Public Health. Free flu shots were given by Dr. Homer Williams, Dr. Nazim, Dr. Ughovwa and Rebecca A. Rhodes’ offices. Allen Parish Hospital also had many internal departments participating in the event. The laboratory, radiology department, emergency department, Allen Parish Therapy Services, Allen Parish Home Health, the acute nurses unit, and the recovery unit all participated in Saturday’s health fair. The hospital would also like to extend its gratitude to those businesses and churches that donated various items used to help ensure the success of the event. Once again, thank you to the
community for your support of the Allen Parish Hospital’s Second Annual Community Health Fair and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
